The bra shop

In 2005 Dr McKellar's wife was diagnosed with breast cancer.

After her surgery Anna, also a doctor, found it difficult to obtain bras, swimwear and breast forms in Christchurch. Indeed it seemed near impossible to source some products readily available overseas.

Anna discovered her situation was not unique and decided to open a shop where women with 'breast issues' could buy the things they needed. In 2007 we bought out a fledgling lingerie business and The Fitting Room was born.

The Fitting Room stocks bras and swimwear for women with larger cup sizes (D-JJ) and breast forms and pocketed bras for women who have had breast surgery.

The shop is run by our sister-in-law, Deborah. Customers are seen by appointment and enjoy one-on-one fitting and advice within a private and friendly setting.
